Our Team
John ervin
John is a solar industry professional with 18 years of experience developing and building utility-scale and community solar projects across NJ, MA, CA, FL, UT, and NY. Before co-founding Osprey Energy, he served as VP of Development for CS Energy, a national leader in ground-mount solar that has installed over 2GW of projects nationwide. He brings expertise in site origination, permitting, interconnection, project financing, and regulatory compliance.
In New Jersey, John has extensive experience with community solar landfill and brownfield sites as well as utility-scale development, including leading the state’s largest solar project—a 28MW / 20MWac project in Monmouth County—and multiple complex landfill community solar projects requiring significant site remediation prior to solar redevelopment.
Co-Founder, Managing Partner Jeff is the President, Resource Renewal LLC, NJ, licensed NJ LSRP. With 22 years in renewable resource development, he has extensive knowledge in EPA and NJDEP brownfield remediation regulations and compliance. Originated and secured Redeveloper rights to the National Park Landfill to Solar Project. Secured capping and construction approvals from NJDEP and NJBPU for this 7.4 MWdc grid-connected project.

Greg Samilo
Greg Samilo is an energy development professional with more than 10 years of experience advancing conventional and renewable energy projects across the eastern United States, with a focus on New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. His experience spans project origination, site diligence, permitting, interconnection, stakeholder engagement, and advancing projects from early-stage development through construction readiness.
Prior to joining Osprey Energy, Greg served as Project Development Manager at SOLV Energy (F.K.A CS Energy), where he led the development of approximately 60 MW of utility-scale solar and 5 MW of community solar projects in New York, as well as early-stage development of approximately 20 MW of community solar projects in New Jersey. His background also includes utility-scale natural gas generation development, providing a strong foundation in energy markets, infrastructure development, and project execution. Greg has extensive experience navigating complex land use, environmental, and permitting processes while working with landowners, municipalities, utilities, and public agencies to transform underutilized properties into productive energy assets.
